Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join and lead their team in Hereford. Reporting into the Finance Director, your role will involve providing accurate MI reports to the senior members of several departments including Budget Holders. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide sound financial advice and support to the senior management team ensuring they have a clear understanding of financial management
• Provide expert advice on financial information to support and prepare business plans ensuring any potential risk is highlighted and mitigated
• Analyse financial reports and present your findings to the senior management team
• Complete and submit accurate quarterly VAT returns in accordance with HMRC deadlines
• Plan, deliver and update key financial activities such as monthly management accounts, budget setting, forecasting, cashflow modelling and management, variance analysis and balance sheet review
• Co-ordinate the preparation of the organisation’s accounts for audit

Criteria:

• ACA, ACCA, CIPFA or CIMA qualification or equivalent
• Experience of leading a successful finance team
• Strong IT skills, with proven experience of maintaining and developing financial systems and processes
• Excellent analytical skills coupled with problem solving abilities
• Ability to identify risk and implement solutions to mitigate the risk factors
• Strong stakeholder management skills
